ESFJ
I retook this test today - this is totally me:
An ESFJ at odds with self is a remarkable sight. When a decision must be made, especially one involving the risk of conflict (abhorrent to ESFJs), there ensues an in-house wrestling match between the aforementioned black-and-white Values and the Nemesis of Discord. The contender pits self against self, once firmly deciding with the Right, then...
country fest
I must admit, the thought of people in Boston going all out for country fest kind of made me laugh…but the people up here did pretty well at supporting Zac Brown Band and Kenny Chesny. I was thoroughly impressed. 60,000 fans filled Gilette Stadium, (night 2) tailgated all day…and all in defiance of Hurricane Irene. We toughed out the rain, and Kenny and Zac jammed out for us in the...
grace
Talking to a great friend tonight and she told me this:
“But that’s what grace is for. Let me tell you, you have no idea how much heart you have. Because when the right man finds you, you’re gonna be overwhelmed with love for and from him. and in the right context Jesus supplies all of that and it’s more than you could ever drum up on your own.
man. that hits home.
new theme
I think I spend more time trying to figure out the theme of my blog, than actually putting any thought to it. and the thing is, who really looks at the theme, i think it’s the actual content that makes people come back…hah so maybe i should work on that. on that note, i can’t believe over a year has passed since I moved to Boston. holy cow. more updates with actual readable...
end of summer bbq
last night I went to my favorite place in all of Boston for an end of summer bbq. the one and only Eastern Standard hosted an amazing spread on the patio..full of family style sharing and big plates. i must say, i’ve never felt quite at home in the north. a stuffed whole cooked pig with sausage, mac and cheese, baked beans, corn on the cob, heirloom tomato salad, biscuits and potato salad...

life update
i’m so so behind on my blog that i’ve decided to just briefly update and then continue on!
I’ve been traveling…a lot. Since May I’ve been to San Francisco twice, San Diego, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Napa, Palm Beach, Jersey and Chicago.. twice. Oh and Georgia. Phew.
It’s wedding season! So excited for all of my friends getting married and so pumped to be able...

Phoenix Fun
I’m out in Phoenix for business so I knew I had to try out one of Phoenix’s hot spots. The problem with that was….what was a hotspot restaurant in Phoenix. After yielding negative results doing web searches I turned my attention the Travel Channel. Problem Solved.
The cute and unassuming Barrio Cafe provided an authentic twist on mexican cuisine. Guacamole made at your table...
Iced Tall Skinny Caramel Macchiato
This little drink has transitioned from winter to spring…from the warm caramel macchiato to the cool iced version, it has sustained my non-coffee drinking self. Just like being a regular at a restaurant, having a signature Starbucks drink is a must, it makes you feel somewhat at home in a rather chain corporate coffee shop. Another plus, drinking it with a view of the Boston Commons and...

happy birthday
Today might have been one of the best birthday’s I’ve had in a long, long time… These are some of the great things that made my day special
1. Walking into work and finding my desk decorated in crazy pictures, with a beautiful handmade card (along with the best necklace), flowers and balloons!!!!
2. Getting flowers delivered to me at work
3. My podmate going out and getting...
A gift that will go very far with me….flowers!!
Seriously, I don’t know why guys don’t give them more!

Dancing in the mirror in my “Corporate Courtney” dress..Thank you Marc Jacobs
Blasting my music while getting ready
Coffee and wonderful conversation at dear ol’ Starbucks
Rain instead of snow!!! :)
Using dry shampoo instead of washing my hair
The fact that Natalie Portman won the Oscar last night
I’m one more day closer...
Spring is Coming!!!
Okay, so Spring probably isn’t coming to Boston anytime soon, but I like to pretend it is! Regardless, I decided to go to Papersource (do something creative today :) ) and make some Spring for myself….Paper daisies!!
Also, I decorated my wall finally!!!!
Happy Valentine's Day
Valentine’s Day
Even the cynics secretly love Valentine’s Day, and as I’m surrounded by three sets of couples on the bus back to BOS from NY (canoodling away, lost in each other’s eyes) I still love this day. So here are 14 things/statements about my love for this day.
1. Even though I’m single (yet again) Valetine’s Day still holds a warm place in my heart.
2. This is my favorite consumer...
The Perks of Being Young
There’s nothing more exciting than seeing old friends in one of the best cities in the world. Hello New York City :)

Designer Umbrellas
Today when I walked outside, it was this weird mixture of slush and rain and I realized I should buy an umbrella. My thoughts quickly went to “I wonder if Kate Spade makes umbrellas..”
Although that would be completely unnecessary and Suze Orman would probably “Deny” my purchase, I thought I could find a great deal on ebay.
Then as I turned the corner, I saw the two...
Lists
I realize I’ve done a bad job at updating my blog lately. Life just get’s so crazy!
On that note, I love lists…and since February is a month centered around red hearts and love, here is a list of things I’m loving right now.
1. I love going to coffee shops and doing work, whether it be for work, or just life stuff…it makes me happy.
2. I love when it’s 40...
I think if I had played piano music like this growing up, life would be different.
Love this.
Miss playing.

In the bedroom...Momar gets turned down
As Momar’s picumentary continues, he thought it would be clever to try and sleep in my bed. And how do you propose it/he tried..by disguising himself as a pillow. (He/It’s obviously not too smart, since I wear it to bed some nights, but who ever said it was a smart t-shirt?)
Regardless, who could blame the poor shirt, my bed is super comfy, warm and well I’m in it.
Just look...
The Journey of Momar Continues...
When I went to work this morning, it was 0 degrees. Have you ever wondered what it feels like to go to work when it’s this cold…well now I do and trust me, you don’t want to know.
You forget that you were ever warm, that this same walk to work was once carefree, one in which you might even break a sweat. These thoughts aren’t even fathomable, and all you can think about...
Homemade granola
Monday morning I was able to venture out to Whole Foods and moseyed my way around the aisles….a guilty pleasure of mine. I came upon a sampling aisle of some homemade granola/oat squares and had a taste, and ended up pleasantly surprised! So WF marketing tactic work and I bought the ingredients ( conveniently all on a special shelf with the recipe…like I said Im a sucker for great...
Fireworks
So I had this great post and then my computer froze and I lost it…sad I know. You would have enjoyed it.
Regardless, new thoughts are now in my head.
When it comes to any holiday where fireworks are mentioned I instantly turn into an 8-year-old, in complete awe of the lights in the sky. I literally stare up at the sky when there is a show, with this silly grin on my face and I could care...

Ewww
Haha fyi this post might be a little much for some…
So while my sinus infection has only gotten worse, I came home to find some Mucinex and my thoughts only went back to that terribly disgusting commercial they did. So when I took some this morning…I could only laugh to myself when I thought of these big little guys living in my nose…
Little do they know…they are about...
Cindy Lou Hoo = Taylor Momsen
Scary that the cute little Cindy Lou Hoo is now the scary rebellious rocker we call Taylor Momsen (also Little J from Gossip Girl)…
Also, scary that people say I look like Cindy Lou Hoo from The Grinch…but her ballad “Where are you Christmas?”…always a classic!
One thing is for sure, she’s always loved to do some crazy things with her hair.
One must maintain a little bittle of summer, even in the middle of winter.”...
Boys Will be Boys
Hanging out with a bunch of guys is so great, they are direct, simple and love to eat. This past weekend, I got to hang out with a lot of great guys…But walking to work this morning I realized the following; things every girl should know when preparing to spend a weekend with the male race.
1. They don’t believe in hairdryers; (luckily there was a CVS close by.) As much as I try to...
Overpacked? Guilty...
I usually pride myself on being a light packer…ya know you never want to be that girl with too many suitcases and clothes. However, packing light in the winter, is next to impossible. Especially when you have size 9 1/2 boots (bring two pair of these and your suitcase is already full).
On top of the excuse that the clothes are bulkier due to winter, I continued rationalizing my three...
Baby It's Cold Outside
As the weather is in the low 20s (not only in Boston but in GA too) my mind has honestly been too numb to have any internal thoughts on my walks to work. All I can think about is
“Ouch the wind feels like it’s cutting through my face,” or “I can’t feel my fingers, wait now I can’t feel my ears.” And on and on and on…
I have also come to the...
Holiday Party Oh My!
Walking to work this morning in the BITTER cold, I was rethinking my holiday party attire. Do I wear the dress without the tights? For the sake of the fashion for the dress no….for the sake of my sanity and warmth yes. Regardless, the internal battle between tights vs. no tights was quickly overshadowed with the painful truth that I was going SOLO.
My lame thoughts quickly turned positive...

Blonde Moments
I know I have blonde hair, but I try not to have too many “blonde moments.” Sigh. Too bad I’m not perfect.
For anyone not from New England take note: Heating is way different up here. Gone are the advanced days of central heating and air and new are the olden days of radiant and hot water baseboard heating. If you don’t know what that means, don’t fret, neither did...
The Peach State
So glad to finally be back home in Georgia. I stepped off the plane and was immediately hit with a gust of warm air, and my heart smiled.
Now, surrounded by family and friends (lots of Chick-fil-A, sweet tea, Coca-Cola and cornbread) I can relish this week at home in the lovely state of Georgia. Southern accents, loads of smiling, and the need to drive everywhere have been a nice little change...
Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts
Airports are a great thing, especially when they have a plethora of options for your morning pre-flight beverage and snack. Every news stand and fast food place is vying for your attention…but let’s face it…at this point we’re going to go to what we’re brand loyal to. Who wants to try out the Mexican Cantina before a flight? (I can tell you the passenger sitting...
Swimming in November
This morning, it happened. I was going through my usual morning routine when I reached into my underwear/panties/delicates (whatever you choose to call it) drawer and there wasn’t anything there, except bathing suit bottoms.
Don’t laugh because you know you’ve all done it, some of you are probably wearing them right now.
As the minutes were ticking away, I was debating what I...
We all Love to Love, even if it's cheesy
I feel like cheesy quotes exist for a reason. We all secretly laugh and roll our eyes when people actually say them out loud….but deep down you all know you’re like “Yes, this is my life!”
OR
“I can’t wait until this is true!”
It’s the same reason we listen to sappy love songs, watch hopelessly romantic chick flicks and dress up for no reason....
Such a Beautiful Morning
When it’s a beautiful morning, I think everyone notices. Even the people on the train were forgiving (I had a bookbag on therefore being that girl that takes up two spots…I know, I know we all hate that person)
It impacts everyone’s mood and I start to wonder what all the people are smiling about…what made their morning and put that little upward curve on their face....

By Sarah Brown
Is nail polish the new lipstick? We think so. How better to accessorize the season’s velvet, camel, utility chic, and rock ’n’ roll looks? Where last year was dominated by pale, pavement-colored tones (remember Chinchilly?), this winter has us loving a wide range of uncommonly…
The Land of Hypothesis
Hypothesis: An educated guess about how things work.
This morning when I was getting ready I couldn’t stop thinking about how my day would change with just a slight variation of events. This worksheet reminded me of elementary school, ah science. So while the events below don’t exactly follow the model..you get the point.
What IF:
I would have gotten out of bed when my alarm...
Under my Umbrella, ella ella ay
It’s a rainy, rainy day in Beantown.
As I was walking to work I realized how uncoordinated my rain gear is. My college raincoat (you know the outdoorsy type because everyone is pretending to be all outdoorsy-esque) is well, not quite professional. So as I kept walking I was debating when I would have to step it up and go for the Burberry trench, the Tory Burch rainboots and well you get...
